IT Quality Assurance Analyst / Systems Administrator
The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)* is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Project Portfolio Planning and Management (P3MO) team. THis position reports to the P3MO Manager and works closely with our Quality Assurance Manager. You will utilize and oversee an automated testing tool to maintain the quality and performance of our software products, as well as automate various routine tasks. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, scripts, and scenarios using the testing tool, along with reporting and tracking defects, analyzing test results, and providing feedback to our development teams. In this role, it’s crucial to collaborate effectively with IT staff, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the software meets the needs and expectations of our system users and clients. Additionally, this role involves supporting system administrator tasks across various business systems. This includes understanding both the systems’ functionalities and the operations of the business units they serve.
We can hire this role 100% remote for the right experience level. Remote candidates must reside in the following states to be considered: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Primary Responsibilities
Use and Maintain an Automated Testing Tool
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing on software products
- Create, update, and maintain test cases, scripts, and scenarios using the testing tool.
- Work with users and stakeholders to refine test cases and identify needed information in results.
- Execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios according to the test plan and schedule.
- Report and track defects using the defect management system.
- Ensure that the testing tool is updated, configured, and maintained properly.
- Train and support other IT staff on how to use the testing tool effectively.
Evaluate test outcomes and deliver feedback
- Analyze test results and generate test reports using the testing tool.
- Provide frequent feedback and recommendations to the development team based on the test results and findings.
Recommend opportunities for quality improvement
- Collaborate with other IT staff, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the quality and performance of the software products.
- Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies to improve the quality assurance process.
- Look for ways to automate various routine tasks.
Additional system administration activities
- Work with other systems administrators to install, update, maintain and troubleshoot various business systems.
- Assist with scheduling and testing updates to these systems.
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and other needed documentation for these systems.
- Work with various project teams as needed when these systems are impacted.
- Understand how these systems fit within the overall organization architectural and security landscape.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in using and managing an automated testing tool, such as Eggplant, Selenium, TestComplete, or QTP for quality assurance purposes. Eggplant experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Other Qualifications:
- Preferred experience using testing software in a variety of environments, against a variety of target platforms.
- Experience in performing business systems administration activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
- Preferred experience working with Jira, Confluence or other collaboration tools.
